The M/WBE Leadership Association is a program funded by NYC Council through the New York City Small Business Services.
The 2020 M/WBE Leadership Association is a group of community organizations selected by the New York City Council serving minority and women-owned businesses in New York. Through this partnership with the Department of Small Business Services (SBS), participating organizations are provided with tools and resources to teach firms about selling to government and the benefits of Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) certification with the City of New York. The organizations educate businesses about the process of becoming certified and the keys to success in government contracting. The outstanding work of the M/WBE Leadership Association, across industries and in communities throughout the five boroughs, has created real growth and economic empowerment for minority and women-owned businesses.
West Brighton Community LDC 2020 M/WBE Leadership Association Member on Staten Island assisting women and minorities to be certified to do business with the government, particularly to become a certified M/WBE, which allows for a business to be eligible for selling to city agencies and public authorities in New York.
Your business must be operating for at least one year with a primary location based in NYC.
Resources and services are provided to all women and minority owned businesses eligible for certification, to sell to NYC, State and Federal agencies.
Services include free advertising in the online directory of Certified Businesses, invitations to exclusive events with city buyers and contracts, educational training’s, workshops and one-on-one counseling.
